What We Do
The Multicultural Media Centre (AMMC) seeks to engage cross-cultural communities through media and social media platforms. We focus on enabling Australia’s multicultural groups to tell their stories and engage the wider Australian society about things that matter to them.
In order to achieve its mission AMMC works in close collaboration with leaders from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities through multimedia engagement, forum discussions and events.
The AMMC works in partnership with many community organisations from various ethnic groups such as African communities, Chinese-Australian organisations, the Pasifika Communities etc to produce short media content and promote various campaigns designed to bring about positive changes in the society.
The AMMC also provides training opportunities for multicultural youth in the media production space, including filming, sound recording, editing, social media streaming etc.
